ROAD TRANSPORT INSPECTION SERVICE

 

Inspection in the area of road transport is directed mainly towards the supervision of the enforcement of international agreements, EU legislation, laws and other regulations which govern the conduct of road transport operations, “social legislation” and transportation of dangerous goods,


Supervision of road transport: 

Road transport inspectors supervise the fulfilment of the conditions and responsibility of road transport operators regarding the following:

- fulfilment of conditions for conducting activities of the road transport of goods and persons;
- carrying out internal and international carriage of passengers;
- carrying out of internal and international carriage of goods;
- carrying out auto-taxi activities;
- performing interior checks.


Supervision of “social legislation”

Road transport inspectors supervise the fulfilment of the conditions and responsibility of road transport operators regarding the following:

- adequacy of drivers’ work allocation,  and carrying out checks on the work of drivers;
- keeping of stipulated records on drivers’ work
- respecting the provisions concerning working time, breaks and rests of drivers;
- the correct use of the tachograph;
- work of workshops for tachographs (repair procedures, installation, checks, calibrations…);   
- the correct procedure for cards for digital tachographs issuer;


Supervision of the road transport of dangerous goods:

Road transport inspectors supervise the fulfilment of the conditions and responsibility of road transport operators regarding the following:

- observance of the Transport of Dangerous Goods Act’s provisions, and the ADR Agreement;
- work of the safety advisers for the transport of dangerous goods.
