Areas of work of the body
Transport Inspectorate has been fully operational since 1 January 1995 as a body within the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Decree on Administrative Authorities within Ministries (Uradni list RS, nos. 58/03 and 138/04), the Transport Inspectorate inspects the implementation of regulations in the area of rail, air and road transport and transport infrastructure for respective modes of transport, including the area of cableway installations and safety on ski slopes.
