About the Office
Dear Visitor,
The Transport Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia is a body within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning.
Pursuant to the Decree on administrative bodies within ministries, the Transport Inspectorate is responsible for inspection supervision of the implementation of regulations in the areas of road and railway transport, transport infrastructure associated with these two types of transport, cableway installations and the safety of ski-slope operations.
Inspection supervision is performed by specially authorised and responsible inspectors, who are autonomous in carrying out their work within the limits of their powers.
Every report, complaint, proposal, requirement or request for action we receive from you is an important part of our daily work. However, in the inspection procedure we may consider them only as initiatives for undertaking inspections. As a person submitting a report or complaint, you can therefore not be treated as an official party in the inspection procedure.
You may submit your report in writing, by phone, in person or by e-mail to the head office of the Transport Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia.
Please find the address of the Inspectorate on our website.
If you wish, you may also visit us in person during our office hours from Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 11 am. If you would like to contact one of our inspectors by phone or via e-mail, feel free to do so every working day during the business hours of the Inspectorate.
Every report should contain as much information as possible needed by an inspector to identify the subject of the inspection, the legal offender and the person or entity liable to eliminate the irregularities or deficiencies stated in your report.
As the report is of an informative nature and helps the inspector who is acting in the public interest to perform his inspection tasks ex officio, no administrative fees need to be paid.
Pursuant to the Inspection Act, the inspector shall be obliged to keep the source of the report confidential, so therefore we expect and would like the number of anonymous reports to be as small as possible. However, in the event you decide not to entrust us with the name of the reporting person, your report will still be taken into consideration.
Jurij Kos, MSc
INSPECTOR GENERAL
